Our Story
Eight years ago, our journey began with our oldest son. No matter how hard he played the day before, or how many naps were cut short, he always had one mission: to wake up before the world did.

One morning, long before dawn, he ran into our room and whispered with wonder, “I saw the silver sky.”
At first, we had no idea what he meant. But the next morning, as he climbed into bed with us, he pointed to the window. And there it was—the silver sky.

Just before the sun rises, there’s a fleeting moment when the horizon glows in soft shades of silver. It lasts only seconds, but in that time the world feels still. It’s a moment to pause, to let go of the things we can’t control, and to focus on what’s ahead. To most, it’s just the start of another day. But to those who notice, it’s a reminder that every great beginning starts in the quiet of dawn.
That was the vision our two-year-old gave us. And it’s the vision that became the Silver Sky Foundation. Our mission is to capture those “silver sky” moments for young athletes—through baseball. Because youth sports are about more than the game. They’re about resilience, teamwork, leadership, and the courage to keep moving forward, even when the odds are stacked against you. Just like the silver sky, childhood is fleeting. We only have so many seasons to shape young athletes into not just stronger players, but better people—teaching them to work hard, serve their community, and believe in what’s possible beyond the horizon.
